This is self-catering holiday accommodation with a difference, for up to 4 people (sorry, no pets), in the town of Ivybridge on the southern edge of Dartmoor National Park.
Blachford Hall is a stunning former mission hall, centrally located and convenient for local amenities.
The property dates back to 1905 and has been sympathetically converted to exploit original features, such as vaulted ceilings with exposed timbers and stained glass windows.
The accommodation boasts two bedrooms - one on the ground floor with two single beds, and a splendid wet room opposite, the other on the first floor, with a king-sized bed and an en-suite with a claw-foot bath. The living room, with its vaulted ceiling, is furnished with two sofas, a 46” smart TV and sound bar music system as well as a wood burning stove. Beyond is a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. Finally, there is a mezzanine den with a giant bean bag.
Outside is an enclosed, sheltered and paved terrace furnished with table and chairs, BBQ and a jasmine draped pergola.
The hall lies between Dartmoor National Park and the South Hams coast and is on the Two Moors Way which runs through the town. Plymouth city centre is just 12 miles away along the A38 with easy access to beaches, sailing and the many tourist attractions of the region.
Ivybridge is a thriving community with pubs, shops, restaurants, cafes, a swimming pool, cinema and much more; Blachford hall is only 600m from the main high street.
